Hi everyone!
My name is Salma Alnahhal and I live in America. I’m fundraising to raise money in order to evacuate my brother in law to Egypt so that he is able to come to America. My oldest sister Eman recently got married last summer and has spent the last couple of months working to get a visa for her husband Jamal in Gaza. Unfortunately after October 7th the U.S. Embassy in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem became hard to get through and their only other way is in Cairo. However, the Egyptian border has been forcing people to pay up to 10,000 dollars per person to get on the list to be considered leaving. My sister is an American citizen and holds a foreign passport so she had the choice to evacuate but would not leave without her husband. It takes an immense amount of bravery to continue living through these hardships out of love but it has gone for too long and I seek your help in trying to safely bring my brother in law out.
Both Eman and Jamal are college graduates and have been working hard to achieve their goals, one of them being a baby. Eman became pregnant a few months after her honeymoon but unfortunately and heartbreakingly lost the baby due to stress caused by the air strikes and bombings around her. On top of an already traumatic situation this is the last thing she needed to happened.
The last few weeks Eman and her in laws fell sick and got Covid. It was extremely difficult to cope as there was barely any medicine available. She has been slowly recovering but the way I see my sister has lost weight and physically looks drained. Jamal’s hair has started to gray due to the stress. This is not something anyone should go through. They have already been displaced in Rafah and it is said their home in Khan Younis has been targeted.
A person can only go through so much before they look for other options. Your support would change Eman and Jamal’s lives for the better. I’m glad I have the chance to share and bring light to what has been happening recently. May God bless you all, thank you!
