Help Emeliah Stay on her feet

Hi my name is Cain and I'm trying to raise money to help my partner Tjanna’s ten-year-old daughter. Emeliah who has already endured more medical battles than most people face in a lifetime. She lives with her mum and two brothers a couple of doors down from me. Both of her brothers also have special needs and require constant care. Despite everything, she has faced every challenge with courage.

From birth, Emeliah has struggled with severe scoliosis. Her journey began at just two years old, when she started full-time bracing
At almost three years old, she underwent her first spinal cord surgery to correct a tethered spinal cord.

Despite years of casting, bracing, and treatments, her spine continued to worsen. Eventually, the pain became too much. She could no longer walk far and needed a wheelchair
At age six, Emeliah spent months in hospital undergoing halo gravity traction, followed by the insertion of growth rods
These rods were meant to help straighten her spine gradually as she grew — and for a time, it worked. She was able to walk again without needing her wheelchair.

Recently, doctors discovered that the rods have failed. Her spine has now tethered around the rods, making them unsafe to remain inside her body.

She now urgently needs:
· Removal of the failed rods
· New rods inserted
· A full spinal fusion — a surgery she shouldn’t have needed until adulthood
· Her ribs broken and reshaped to reduce a rib hump pressing against her lungs.

Doctors have warned that without this surgery in the next 3 to 12 months that she is at severely high risk of permanent paralysis

After surgery, Emeliah will need:
· 12+ months of physical and occupational therapy (not covered by NDIS due to being classed as “medical”)
· 2–3 months off school
· Six months of intensive one-on-one care at home.

The family lives far from the hospital, and her mum must care for Emeliah and her two special-needs children throughout this long journey.

This will create enormous financial and emotional strain on the entire family.
Despite everything little Emeliah has gone through she remains a resilient child who just wants to grow, play, and enjoy life like any other child her age.

Your donation will help fund:
• Travel and accommodation during hospital stays
• Out of pocket therapy costs
• Medical and recovery equipment
• Loss of income while the family focuses on caregiving
• Support for Emeliah’s two special needs brothers during this period

Every contribution — big or small — brings this brave child closer to walking into her future safely.

❤️ Please help give Emeliah the chance to stay on her feet.
