Help Emerging Writer Inda Attend Workshop
Donation protected
My name is Inda Lauryn. If you already know me, you know I am a writer, podcaster, RPGer, and music curator. A couple of days ago, I received some potentially life-changing news. I applied for a writing workshop in Tuscany on the long shot that I'd be accepted. And guess what, I got in! However, just as I suspected, the costs of attending are out of my reach.
While I understand that others have more pressing needs, as I stated, attending this workshop could potentially change my life. Not only could I use the networking and contacts this could bring, but I could also very much use the feedback on my work since one of the reasons I don't show it to others is because I cannot compensate them. But here is a chance to have my writing workshopped and put into submittable form. However, acceptance to this workshop will bring me even closer to the dream I've had of being a professional writing for decades now.
The amount I'm seeking is meant to cover the costs of tuition, airfare, and meals since lodging and transportation to and from the airport will be provided by the program. The payment for tuition is due April 26th, but there is an option for a payment plan over time. Of course, travelling internationally from a regional airport in the Midwest is also costly although I am looking into less expensive flight options if possible. Should I meet or exceed this goal and there are funds to spare, they would be put to travelling to Big Bad Con in the fall so that I can panel with my RPG group The Reclaimers (twitch.tv/nerdgasmnoire).
If you are able to spare anything, no amount is too little. I am simply hoping my community and village sees me fit enough to support. I appreciate anything that can be spared.
Oh, and one more thing. Don't forget to check out the Black Feminist Apocalypse/Dystopian Survival Resource Compilation and let us know of other useful resources as they come along.
