Help Emi and Joe Recover After Wildfire

Emi and Joe lost their home from the devastating wildfires in Altadena. They had to evacuate their apartment on Tues Jan 7th and have been without a home ever since. They’ve been able to reside in a friend's spare room for the time being, but there's much uncertainty beyond that. It’s likely that the majority of their belongings are completely smoke damaged and rendered unusable. And, it’s clear that their apartment complex and entire neighborhood is unlivable.
With the uncertainty and stress of figuring out next steps, let’s help them get the basics that they need to start recovering from their losses.
I'm a very close friend of Emi's and reside in Los Angeles. I'm writing on behalf of Emi and her wonderful boyfriend, Joe. If you know Emi, you know that she is one of the great connectors in your life. She is constantly looking out for others, bringing people together, introducing new friendships, and cooking you something from the heart. Emi and Joe have given so much warmth and generosity to others, I want to give back to them in this great time of need.
While we can’t replace the decades worth of belongings, sentimental items and irreplaceable keepsakes, we can get them back on their feet.
Your generosity will make a tremendous difference in helping them regain some stability during this incredibly difficult time.
Every contribution, no matter the size, will be deeply appreciated and put to immediate use.
Thank you,
Friends Cali and Peter McDowell, Emi and Joe.
