Help Emilia Get Her Smile Back !

Hello,

my name is Edie and I am fundraising for my daughter Emilia. Those of you that know me personally will know how hard it is for me to write this letter. I don't like asking for help, but this is very important to me and my daughter.

Emilia was recently told by her dental specialist that she needs to have some very expensive oral surgery. This will entail pulling all of her teeth, extracting the roots (some of which are currently exposed) removing the infection in her jaw, reconstructive repair to her gums and fitting her for dentures, leaving her with a new smile!

She has endured more than a year of pain and many jaw infections that have been difficult to treat. This happened because she couldn't afford to see a dentist when the problem developed and, through no fault of her own, became addicted to prescription pain medication. She has now been through rehab, has turned her life around and is beginning a new and better phase of her life.

The dentists have told her that she has needed this treatment for a long while, but the thought of having all of her teeth pulled at a young age was too much for her to consider, until now. The most recent dentist said that she's lucky to have survived this long without the surgical treatment.

The infection has now reached the point of needing surgical intervention so it doesn't spread to other parts of her body.

Emilia is a kind-hearted young woman who would give you the shirt off her back if you needed it. She has been working very hard to improve her life. She works full time and has been lucky enough to land a job with health and dental insurance.

As many of us know, however, dental insurance often comes with hefty out-of-pocket costs, especially with oral surgery involved.

This fundraiser for Emilia is to help her with the out-of-pocket expenses her insurance doesn't cover. Any amount you can donate will move Emilia closer to her goal.
