Help Emily attend CSU Northridge

Hello everyone my name is Emily Gramajo and I am a Senior at West Adams Preparatory High. I will be first-generation to go to college. At the end of March 2023, I received my admission letter to CSU Northridge. However, after viewing my financial aid, my EFC was over $10,000 including mandatory fees & personal expenses, I was discouraged from accepting my offer as my family cannot afford to pay this amount yearly so I was choosing to attend a community college instead. But thanks to the LA Times journalist Teresa Watanabe, for sharing my story with you all and the overwhelming generosity of readers wanting to contribute to my educational goals, I am reconsidering attending CSU Northridge. I’m truly grateful to all of those who wish to support me in achieving my journey at CSU Northridge. Your contributions will be used to help cover mandatory fees and any other academic expenses.
