Help Emily fight against Acanthamoeba Keratitis

Hello friends and family!
I am writing to ask for your help and support for my dear friend who is in need of another urgent eye surgery. My friend has been suffering from a serious eye condition for quite some time now and has been unable to work or even see clearly.
Emily Leath is a sweet, kind, and compassionate friend who puts others first. She is always looking for ways to help those in need, for example, in High School she made a selfless decision to cut off her hair for the St. Baldricks Foundation to make a difference in the fight against childhood cancer. Emily shaved her head in solidarity with children who have lost their hair due to cancer treatment. This event has raised millions of dollars for research, and the foundation has also supported programs to improve the lives of children with cancer and their families. This act of kindness shows deep understanding of the struggles that these children and their families face and a willingness to make a sacrifice to help ease their burden. She is also a nurse who truly cares for her patients and goes above and beyond to ensure they are comfortable, well-informed, and receiving the best possible care. She takes the time to listen to her patients' concerns and address them with empathy and understanding. She's always had a passion for healthcare and dreamed of continuing her education to become a nurse practitioner, but her dreams were put on hold. My friend is truly a shining example of how to be a good and caring person. She is an inspiration to me and everyone who knows her. However, her own health took a turn for the worse when she was diagnosed with Acanthamoeba Keratitis and had to undergo an emergent corneal transplant. The recovery process was difficult and resulted in her receiving 30 stitches in her eye, as well as experiencing terrible pain for 7 months.
Unfortunately, her condition has not improved and she will need to undergo another corneal transplant after 2 weeks of infusions at the hospital. The prognosis for her recovery is uncertain and there is a possibility that she may lose her eye entirely. This news has been devastating for Emily, as she was forced to furlough her studies at grad school to become a Psych Nurse Practitioner, a dream she always had.
Due to her current eye disability, Emily is unable to work and this has put a tremendous financial strain on her and her family. They need help paying for medical bills and school loans. It is important that we come together and support Emily in her fight against Acanthamoeba Keratitis and help her get her life back. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers, and share her story to raise awareness and funds for her medical expenses. Together, we can make a difference and help Emily achieve her dream of becoming a Psych Nurse Practitioner.
