Help Emily get a car for her family

My friend Emily is a hard worker, a great mother and pours her heart out for the kids at our church. Unfortunately sometimes when you work full time you don't have enough money to cover your needs. She is without a car and not in a position to make payments on one right now.
We are trying to raise enough to find something reliable for her and her children without having to make payments. We estimate we can find something for around $1500.00 but of course the more we can raise the more reliable the car will be. She has some help at the moment with getting children to school and herself to work but we are not sure how long that can last. She needs to be able to keep her job so she can provide a life for herself and her children.
