Help Emily Get Essential Medical Tests

Hello,

My name is Emily. I'm 32 and working at Village Manor Retirement in Howell, Michigan as the laundry lady. The work there is amazing and consistent, my fellow employees are a hoot to be around, and I absolutely love the residents!

However, over the last two years (especially these last three months), I began suffering from sporadic and acute flare-ups in my stomach area. Emergency visits ruled out life-threatening issues but were unable to clearly identify the real problem. We've done ultrasounds and a CT scan, and nothing was discovered.

These flares are quite painful and as such are inhibiting me from working a full schedule.

The second big pickle is I make too much to get Medicaid Insurance and not enough to afford regular insurance. I'm working on getting financial assistance to cover my emergency hospital visits but know it won't cover everything.

I've been to a GI doctor and he wants me to have an endoscopy test done. There is a possibility there will be need for more testing after this...I'm not sure. I'm hoping we'll be able to get by with just the endoscopy.

I set my mark at $2000 as I hope to keep working and try to pay my own way, if possible. I just desperately need some outside help to cover these immediate costs.

Any and all generosity would be greatly appreciated! Even if I don't hit that mark, a little will go a long way for me.

And if we do exceed that mark, and come out ahead of the bills I propose to donate the leftover funds to the Beaumont Children's Hospital.
