Help Emily Give Her Dad the Farewell He Deserves

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Kyle, and I’m setting this up for my fiancé, Emily. She’s one of the most selfless and proud people I know, and she would never ask for help, even though she truly needs it right now.

Emily recently lost her dad, Brian Linzey , and while she’s been trying to handle everything on her own, I know how much she’s struggling. I wanted to step in because she deserves support during this incredibly difficult time.

The Story

In September, Emily’s dad suffered a terrible accident during a day out, breaking his hip and femur. His recovery was difficult, and he spent nearly every day in the hospital since, apart from just two nights. Despite his incredible determination to get better, his health began to decline.

Before Christmas, Emily learned how serious his condition had become. Living in Canada while her dad was in England, she faced an impossible choice. She asked the kids if they wanted Christmas presents or to visit their Grampy. Without hesitation, they chose to see him.

We flew to England, and I’m so grateful we did. That time Emily spent with her dad turned out to be the last. Her dad was holding onto hope and was supposed to enter a rehabilitation center to regain his strength. But on December 30th, everything changed.

Her brother received the call no one ever wants—a call to say their dad was declining rapidly. Emily was told to say her goodbyes.

Although she couldn’t make it in time, her dad passed away surrounded by love on December 31st.

Why I’m Asking for Help

Emily’s dad lived a simple life after losing his wife Linda a few years ago. He didn’t have much—no insurance, no savings—but he had the biggest heart. He gave what little he had to anyone who needed it more.

We spent everything we had to go see him before Christmas, and now we as a family are struggling to cover his funeral costs. While it doesn’t seem possible for her to attend the funeral herself, she’s focused on easing the financial burden on her family in England so they can give her dad the send-off he deserves.

How You Can Help

Emily is one of the most selfless and generous people I know, and I know she would never ask for help herself. So I’m asking on her behalf. If you’re able to contribute, even in the smallest way, it would mean the world to her and her family. Every donation, no matter the size, will help honor her dad’s memory and give him a proper farewell.

If you’re not a fan of giving through GoFundMe, we completely understand. You can also send contributions directly to our PayPal at

I also know times are tough for many people right now. If you can’t donate, we completely understand, but even sharing this page would help immensely.

Her Dad’s Legacy

Emily’s dad was the kindest, most generous soul. He didn’t need much in life—his happiness came from seeing his family happy. I want to help honor him by giving him a proper farewell, one that reflects the love he gave to everyone around him.

Thank you so much for reading and for any support you can give, whether it’s a donation or just a share. Your kindness means more than words can express
