Help Emily Hopkins and Jon Lapointe Recover

"What do you need" is an overwhelming question to answer when you have literally lost everything...

Emily Hopkins and Jon Lapointe evacuated Tuesday evening with their dogs, the clothes on their backs, and not much else. They saw their house burn to the ground live on Channel 5 TV Wednesday morning. Everything is gone.

Jon and Emily are non-profit community leaders in the LA art community. They are legendary hosts who have selflessly opened their home to feed, house, and offer respite to regional, national, and international artists for 15 years — sometimes even indie bands with nearly a dozen members at once. They are public servants and helpers who are unaccustomed to being on the receiving end of help.

Emily and Jon recently invested a substantial portion of their savings renovating the home they loved and shared with everyone. They are already showing up to help the beautiful Altadena and Pasadena communities collectively move through this crisis, but have limited resources to cover their own needs. Insurance and FEMA reimbursement for these expenses could take months or years. Once reimbursement funds are in hand, they intend to pay forward funds raised through this campaign.
