Help Emily, Lachie & Baby Carter.

Hi, my name is Mykaela. I am the sister in law of Lachlan Peterson and Aunty to baby Carter. I am seeking to raise funds to help Lachlan , his partner Emily and their little 6 week old baby Carter, in finding their feet after a horrific car accident last Friday night.

Next thing they knew they were waking up in

hospital to find out they had been in a horrific car accident. Another driver had collided with them, whilst they were travelling down the Highway, lachlans Ute rolled 4 times.

Lachlan crawled from his upside down destroyed Ute , while Emily and beautiful baby Carter were trapped inside and had to be rescued by emergency services. They were all transported to hospital.

At 4am Saturday morning, Emily was flown to Melbourne as she was in such a serious condition and needed more intensive medical attention. Emily has a brain bleed, a broken arm and shoulder and has already required a surgery to insert rods and plates. She has broken ribs and many other injuries into the mix . She has been put into an induced coma in order for her brain to rest and recover.

Lachlan luckily had relatively mild injuries but was required to stay in the hospital in a neck brace awaiting test results and mri scans - unable to do anything. Their little baby Carter (after initial concerns) managed to come through with mild facial injuries.

Lachlan and Carter remained in the hospital until Monday afternoon . They will make their journey to be in Melbourne, by Emily’s side as soon as they are medically able.

This situation leaves Lachlan unable to work in his current job as his priorities lay with his beautiful family, whilst the future for Emily, due to the severity of her injuries, is very much unknown at this time. We do know that the road will be long and stressful for them all . My hope is to remove some of that stress and help them to cover some expenses while they are recovering and until they are well enough to get back to their normal working lives.

Whilst there really isn’t much we can physically do for them at this stage, what we can do, is to support them in anyway we can.

I am hopeful that we can raise some money to reduce their financial stress at this horrible time in their life.

All funds raised will be going to Lachie, Emily and baby Carter to help them find their feet, while they’re on their road to recovery and picking up the pieces of their lives by helping with whatever medical expenses and accommodation they may need, so they are able to stay together as a family.
