Help Emily regain custody of her children

Hi, my name is Gillian and I’m fundraising for Emily Pedrazinni, an Australian based in the Uk. Emily left an abusive relationship with no money, no home, no car but had her 2 children.

Unfortunately, the UK does not recognise de facto relationships even when children are involved. Emily has been dragged through the courts and been called an unfit mother. She is the complete opposite. Em’s daughter endured years of intense chemotherapy after being diagnosed with Leukaemia at age 4. Em didn’t leave her side and has been diagnosed with PTSD as a result of that. She gave up her career to be a stay at home mother.

Emilys family and friends have been supporting her to gain accommodation and pay legal fees. She was made homeless and as a result lost custody of her children which is completely devastating. It was a calculated move and despite the courts acknowledging how despicable this was by the father, they are powerless to order him to pay anything as they weren’t married.

Em is currently homeless and as a result has limited access and no overnight stays with her children. This will not change If she can’t provide stable housing.

Added to this is the fact that he lives in one of the most affluent areas in the UK making it near impossible for her to access housing nearby. She currently travels 3 hours return to see her kids.

She is in a desperate state and needs our help. Because of being a stay at home mum, she has no credit rating or references for potential landlords.

Her family have exhausted funds and really need support. The Pedrazinni family has always supported the community and I’m hoping you will join me in supporting them in this time of need.

Funds raised will go towards housing, utilities, legal services and getting medical support for Emily.
