Help Emma Huser After Devastating Fire

Donation protected
My heart is heavy tonight as I share that my dear dear friend Emma Huser has lost her home in the Pacific Palisades from the horrible fires that are blazing through Los Angeles. While its hard to ask for help at this time I know Emma needs it. Everything Emma owned was in the garage uninsured. Emma has called the Palisades her home since childhood and has watched her school burn down and her community and neighbors homes in a matter of hours.

For other personal family reasons Emma had to move back home to care for a family member. She brought all of her belongings with her and was getting her footing back after a very uneasy work year in the industry. She is an amazingly talented Costume Designer and ACD in the film industry.

Tuesday morning while at work in the valley she got a call from her dog walker that a fire had broken out and was near by. Emma raced home, as did her mother from work as a midwife, and grabbed her dog and her mother and her evacuated with little time not expecting the unimaginable. They left with very little clothing or items as their safety was top priority. Finding out her home is now burned to the ground, Emma and her family have nothing but a small bag. I am hopeful that this will be a small start to a getting basic needs like underwear and clothes and food and a place to live until she can sort out their next step.
Many families are suffering right now and have lost everything. Any amount will help Emma and her family at this very difficult time.

Emma's home she sadly saw burned with nothing left. I met Emma 16 years ago as a costume PA and we have grown up in this industry together. She is a person who shows up for you and is a best friend to all she meets. She is always there for others and never asks for help but she needs our help now. This year has been rough for other reasons on her family and for her in the industry as well following back to back strikes and lulls of work. Its never easy to ask your peers for help. Thank you for any help you can give. My heart breaks for all that have been so quickly displaced.
