Help Emma Get a Nighttime Seizure Monitor Alarm

Donation protected
Hi everyone, as most of you know my Emma was diagnosed with Epilepsy last year. The type she has is one most commonly associated with nocturnal (nighttime) tonic clonic seizures, so far those are the most common type of seizures she’s had. What some of you probably don’t know (at least I didn’t at first), is nocturnal seizures are the ones that have the highest risk of serious risks, there’s something called SUDEP (Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy) and while thankfully SUDEP is rare, it’s still a very real risk and fear for anyone dealing with nocturnal seizures. Right now we have Emma sleeping in bed with us, at the direction of her neurologist. And while I love her being next to me every night, she has started to ask when she can move back to her own bed. She’ll be 9 this year and at an age where she deserves to feel more independent and confident. The only way we can move her back to her own bed is to have a seizure monitor/alarm system that can alert us if she starts to have a seizure during the night. But they are all very pricey. The one I’m raising money for is one recommended by her neurologist and by other parents who have children with the same condition. It’s called The SAMI Activity Sleep Monitor.
It can detect:
Shaking, Convulsions, Jerking Spasms Peddling, Rocking, Playing / awake, Sleep Walking, Sitting up in bed, Restless Legs,  Vomiting, Face grimacing, Eye fluttering,  Foot movements & more!
This quote taken from the makers of SAMI (who have a son with nocturnal seizures), explaining what it will do;
  “Reliably alert us to abnormal convulsive movements and muscle stiffening while ignoring normal sleep movement (tossing and turning, going to the bathroom, etc.) so we could actually sleep”!
Which sounds incredible because sleep is something that has been changed/harder for us since this started.
This camera will not only give Emma a sense of independence and safety, but it will give me & David some feeling of comfort and peace, knowing that so many other parents are using this technology & it’s reliable enough to trust.
There’s nothing more important than our kids safety/health.
So I just want to thank you for reading/reaching out/being there for our family!
If you donate then I hope you understand how much we appreciate it!
 If you can’t then we completely understand too!
 I hope you'll consider sharing this GFM so we can achieve this goal & get Emma into her own bed, safely!
