Help Emma get her health back

Hi, I'm Emma and I have created this fund raising page to help me get my health back. In March this year, I was bitten by a tick. I quickly developed all the typical symptoms of Lyme disease, including neurological and lots of other widespread symptoms. Due to limited treatment on the NHS, I was forced to seek support and treatment privately. This treatment hasn't been wholly successful and very expensive and now I'm at a crossroads. There is a specialist in Dublin who has a great reputation and a high success rate for remission, but it will cost £500 for flights and consultation and then medication on top.

I'm stalling further treatment due to the amount of money I've already spent and what little savings I have left in the bank and not having proper guidance as to what is the best way to go. To be honest I'm scared for the future and what this will all mean for my son and I. I'm a single mum and have been coping with all this by myself up until now. Now I'm asking for help from the people who care about us. I just want some of the stress and worry to be eased and to get on a road to recovery. I'm embarrassed to ask for help but I don't know what else to do. Thank you so much for reading and any help you might be able to give.
