Help Emma Haag fight Burkitt Lymphoma Cancer!!

Donation protected
As many of you have heard, Emma was diagnosed with Burkitt Lymphoma on Friday, October 21st. After experiencing stomach pain for two weeks, which she attributed to the stress of being a college student, she took herself to the ER in Boulder after suffering from uncontrollable vomiting. They performed a CAT scan, which showed masses on her liver and colon. She was then transferred to Presbyterian/St. Lukes, where she received her official diagnosis. The treatment protocol is aggressive chemotherapy, which will take place at St. Luke's to start, and hopefully locally once further into treatment.

Surrounding this devastating news are many silver linings. Just yesterday, we received the news that Emma's bone marrow and spine tested negative for cancer, so although this cancer is very aggressive, we are told it's very treatable. Another blessing is that Emma's cousin, Tanner Banc, and his girlfriend, Campbell, are both Oncology nurses at St. Lukes, and so we know she will be in amazing hands with the medical team. The Haag family is also blessed to have so many family and friends here and around the country - people who have reached out with texts, calls, emails, and Facebook messages to say that they are sending love, light and prayers to Emma. They know she's a fighter and will come out on the other side stronger, healthier, and more spunky than before!

Many of you have also asked how you can support the Haag family at this time. Please keep sending your positive thoughts! They are surrounding them and keeping them uplifted at this very trying time.

We also set up this Go Fund Me - not because the family asked for it - but because we want to help Emma and her family with the financial burden that a cancer diagnosis brings. No one plans for this major medical challenge, and having your support will allow the Haag family to focus on providing the best support and treatment for Emma for the next few months!!

Many of you have also asked about making meals. Gift cards would be most appreciated, as their travel back and forth from Denver makes creating a food schedule a little challenging.

We will provide updates on her condition as they become available, and will forward any messages sent through this platform to the family. I'm sure they will appreciate it!

Much love and gratitude,
The Banc Family on behalf of The Haag Family
