Help Emma Jane Beat Leukemia (T-ALL)

Hi everyone! Thank you for visiting our page to help support Emma Jane's battle against pediatric T-Cell Lymphoblastic Leukemia (T-ALL). Emma is a firecracker five year old with a heart as big as the world. She is the best big sister to Kenleigh (4) and JT (1). It was a heartbreaking day on December 12th when her parents (Elizabeth Griffin and Jacob Trakney) took her to an emergency room in the early hours with labored breathing after days of treatments that failed to treat her cough. No one expected to be flight lifted to UNC Pediatric Cancer Center in Chapel Hill because what was making it hard for her to breath was a mass sitting atop her little lungs. After many tests, later that day this sweet little angel was diagnosed with cancer. She has a long road ahead to fight with unconventional and aggressive treatments needed due to the size and location of the mass.

Emma is in the amazing hands of the UNC Chapel Hill Cancer Team, however in addition to the fight her and her parents are preparing for - Chapel Hill is 2 1/2 hours away from where the family lives in Onslow County. Jacob and Elizabeth work very hard to provide for their family in this coastal town and with Emma needing initial treatments up to a week or more plus weekly visits to UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill this young family will lose the income of one parent, incur the travel cost at incredibly high fuel rates as well as all that comes with being outside the home.

First and above all we ask you all for your PRAYERS! Lift this baby girl up to the light of the Lord every chance you get. God is so good and we know He will give Emma the strength she needs to fight this horrible disease and continue to be the best big sister out there!
