We are the family of Jesus Emmanuel Alvarez [18 years old], known to family as Emmanuel or Manny, the survivor of a family tragedy on July 3rd, 2023.
Surviving a violent domestic event with a leg wound and limited mobility, Emmanuel is unexpectedly grieving the loss of his beloved mother Karina Gonzalez [48 years old] and his sister Daniela Alvarez [15 years old].
News Coverage:
Funds are being raised for Emmanuel's recovery and to ease the financial burdens of this nightmare. He is living through the worst days of his life and while he is safe with his immediate needs met in the care of our family, there are many challenges to navigate in the days, months, and years ahead.
All donations received will be used for the following:
- Funeral and memorial expenses for Karina Gonzalez and Daniela Alvarez
- Physical health expenses for Emmanuel's injury recovery
- Mental health support to help Emmanuel navigate this trauma
- Interim bills and assorted living expenses

Emmanuel would like to thank everyone for the support over the last few days with special recognition and appreciation to the neighbors that gave him shelter in the aftermath and those that have provided critical details to the authorities about the event.
