Help Emmanuel Survive Homelessness and Fight Lipedema

Hi, my name is Leo Hughes I am a good friend of Emmanuel and met him how most people do, on the street playing chess. All of his friends want the best for Emmanuel, not only is he a very talented chess player but he's also extremely generous and kindhearted to any person he meets. You can often find him outside playing a game of chess across from the Chicago Art Institute, at a table in front of chick-fil-a or Jollibee. Right now Emmanuel is homeless and is battling with multiple severe health complications. His extended periods of sitting and sleeping outside has caused a serious case of Lipedema in his legs and built up ammonia. His condition is life threatening and he has spent multiple days in the hospital over the past year. Emmanuel also suffers from the cold Chicago winters, warming shelters only provide so much protection, they are still very vulnerable places. Whether he's sleeping in a shelter or outside Emmanuel is left exposed to unsafe living conditions that greatly affect his medical condition and sleep. Emmanuel's goal is to live a life off the streets, have an apartment, heal his lipedema and overall health as well as enter the 2025 Chicago Chess Open. Emmanuel makes all of his money from his games of Chess, he is currently unemployed because of the lip edema in his legs making it hard for him to walk. Despite all of the negative complications in his life Emmanuel still spends every day out on the street greeting people. You may see him with a game board or a bubble machine, he is always excited to talk to a stranger or a familiar face. He has a deep love for the game and with the proper amount of sleep has a very good chance of winning the next Chicago Open Chess Tournament
