Help end HOSTILE POLICIES on Family Migration

Donation protected
The UK’s brutal approach to immigration took center stage in 2012 when former prime minister Theresa May first uttered the words: “The aim is to create here in Britain a really hostile environment  for illegal migration.”

And it changed thousands of lives forever and began the era state-authorized emotional apartheid on the most vulnerable citizens of the UK.

Several Facebook groups were created informally by people negatively affected by these policies such as the one that is associated with this project called Reunite Families.

Victims of these hostile policies share resources, advice, legal contacts and just provide a safe space to vent our frustrations.

Several petitions and campaigns exist calling for an end to these hostile policies including sending letters to your MP by the Joint Council for the Welfare of Immigrants.

Despite all these efforts, family migration is not even on the list of topics to discuss in the upcoming bill at the Home Affairs Committees at the Parliament!!!

As shocking as it is, there is one surefire way to get this topic on every single MPs radar: SEND THEM OUR STORY!

'Love in the Time of Theresa May' is a collection of stories and essays by people whose lives have been ruined by the hostile immigration policies.

GOAL: to send a copy of this book to each of the 650 MPs in the UK.
30-40 copies to journalists, influencers and activists.

BUDGET: In total, we need 700 copies of the book.

The average cost of one author copy by KDP would cost us about £5.

This means 700 books would cost us £3,500.
To this add shipping, the printing of letters and book promotion expenses, we need roughly £7000.

For £3 you get your name in the book as a supporter

For £5 you get the above plus a special thank you message on social media

For £10 you get the above plus a digital copy of the book

For £15 you get the above plus a softcopy of the book

For £20 you get the above plus an invitation to the book launch party (London, probably Parliament)

For £50 you get the above plus mention of your case to your local MP along with the book

For £100 and above you get all of the above plus a special chance to speak at the book launch

We are a group of 1600 plus people at Reunite Families and there are plenty of other groups too who can help us out.

If even 1600 of us can spare a fiver, we can easily cross our target and raise a whopping £8000!

This is our one chance to put as much force into this and really get every single MP and member of the Home Affairs Committee talking about this.

Would you help us end this torture on families? Just a £5 would do.

This was made in 2017 and two years later by the end of 2019, we have not even succeeded in getting noticed by the Home Affairs Committee.

Fortunately for us, the Joint Council for the Welfare of Immigrants already launched a compelling manifesto that summarises our demands and hence we are pushing for the first step of their 12 step plan- Keeping Families Together.
Under this, the JCWI recommends-

l Abolishing the ‘Minimum Income Requirement’ so that no family is forced to live apart or in permanent exile.

l Allow families applying for partner visas to apply from within the UK and live here together while they wait for a decision.

l Simplify the process of obtaining a family visa so that no family needs to use a lawyer simply to submit an application.

Please help us keep families together.
