Help Enid to keep the Ja-babies safe and together

If you know Enid Santiago you know two things for certain:

1. She is a tireless advocate for those who have been wronged.

2. When met with challenges, she won't accept "no" as an answer, but rather as a challenge to be met head-on.

In September 2023, these truths were put to the test when she and her partner rescued Enid's triplet infant nieces and their toddler sister from a dangerous living situation, and picked up the girls over 6 hours away in another state, after the non custodial parents fled with them. While they had envisioned this phase of their lives to be about enjoying their grandchildren, Enid and her partner were ready to alter their plans to ensure these children had a safe and loving environment to grow up in.

Enid and her partner are the driving force behind a local grassroots nonprofit they founded. While their nonprofit is making strides, it hasn't yet reached a point where it can provide them with a salary. Through hard work and an entrepreneurial spirit, they've developed other income streams to make ends meet.

Thankfully, they've found an excellent attorney willing to take on their custody case pro bono. Unfortunately, their nieces' biological parents continue to challenge custody, filing complaints, and dragging Enid into court at least once a month. With the legal issues extending longer than anticipated, Enid now finds herself needing to cover legal fees.

We're launching this GoFundMe to assist Enid with her custody fight. Enid has been the sole physical and legal guardian of the girls since September. The girls are thriving receiving proper medical care, physical, occupational and speech therapy. They are loved beyond measure, are happy and have built an extensive fan club with the community regularly supporting them with diapers, clothes, and toys. Every dollar raised will go directly to their attorney. Rest assured, Enid and her partner love their nieces deeply and see their new life as a blessing, and they need support to ensure their home remains the girls’ home where they are safe, well-cared for, nurtured, and very loved until their biological parents have the appropriate mental, physical, emotional, and financial means to take care of them.
