Help Enzo with surgery after degloving injury
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Melissa and I'm hoping to raise funds to pay for the immediate veterinary care for my almost 5 month old foal Enzo.
On September 7th he caught his leg on a metal hay feeder and struggled a bit, enough to deglove his left front leg exposing bone, fracture his medial splint bone and cause surface damage to the sides of his cannon bone.
The wounds are healing but unfortunately the surface of his cannon bone in the damaged areas has become necrotic (dead) and needs to be removed as well as the splint bone fragment.
This injury came after a series of negative events including job loss.
I hate asking for help but this is my only option.
I have sold everything I can and I am marketing my other weanling but have not had much luck.
I have included his first 2 vet bills and will update with a detailed estimate from Tufts where his surgery will be on October 3rd (as of this moment I have just a verbal estimate of $3500.
Anything helps. You can also call Tufts Hospital for Large Animals and put money directly on his account. Thank you so much.
