Help Eric Ervick Fight Brain Cancer
Donación protegida
Hello everyone,
If you are receiving this link, you have likely had the pleasure of knowing the family of Eric and Jillian whether that be directly or indirectly. This GoFundMe is to support them and their two children, Archer and Sutton. For those of you who know Eric you know he is always the last to ask for help and the first to lend a helping hand. He would only warrant this support with his families best interests in mind. Among being a loving husband and father he is also an incredible friend, son, brother, and uncle, even “uncle” to my own children.
The morning of Nov 12 at 5:30 am, Eric had a grand mal seizure in bed. There were no seizures prior and no distinct symptoms leading up to this event. He was taken to the Victoria Hospital and then transferred to RUH. After multiple CT scans and a MRI, Eric was diagnosed with grade 2 brain cancer. Fortunately, they were given options. Eric and family opted for surgical removal of his brain tumour. This will be an intense surgery. Surgery does not mean or guarantee the entire tumour will be removed.
Eric and Jillian were introduced to his neurology team. Dr. Wendy Fitzpatrick (Neurologist) and Dr. Aleksander Vitali (Neurosurgeon) have guided Eric and Jillian through every step, and helped them make decisions moving forward. Eric is currently in a 2-3 week waiting period for a craniotomy, completed by Dr. Vitali at RUH in Saskatoon. Following his craniotomy, further treatment plans will be decided by his neuro team.
Eric will not be working in the near future, so he can complete this surgery and recover. Jillian is currently on a leave of absence from her work, to care for Eric. Jillian and Eric are continuing to try to provide their children, Sutton (age 1) and Archer (age 3), as normal of a childhood as possible. Sutton and Archer are the forefront of all decisions.
Any financial support is greatly appreciated. Prayers, good vibes and strength are graciously welcomed.
