Help Eric Fight Cancer!! In Urgent Need!

Eric Bragg left work one night in late September in an intense amount of pain to go to the local E.R. He left the next morning with life changing and devastating news. Over the previous few months Eric had begun to lose weight rapidly and developed a mass in his neck. His pain increased drastically, but time off while supporting a disabled spouse and their 10-year-old grand-daughter, as well as the cost of medical care for himself was out of the question. The mass grew to the size of an orange at a shocking pace, making even ordinary tasks excruciating, but he pressed on for his family until it was impossible to continue.
After just a couple hours in the E.R. the attending physician walked into his room, looked at him and said “you have cancer” and walked out. In a few very crude and callous seconds his whole life changed! He had no insurance, he and his family live paycheck to paycheck. He was told go home, get his affairs in order and return.
“Getting affairs in order” turned out to be a daunting and disheartening task. While he was able to obtain life insurance, he was unable to obtain disability or health insurance before thousands of dollars' worth of debt accumulated. Along with the medical bills he now owes and treatments his insurance won't cover, his family is unable to make rent, utilities and is struggling to put food on the table. Eric is also a brittle diabetic, making nutrition critical especially during this time. They are unable to afford to take the necessary precaution to protect him from complications as well as make the payments on the car that gets him to appointments. This struggle with finances and debt is more than anyone struggling with something as devastating as this should have to bear.
Eric's cancer is stage 2 Metastatic squamous neck cancer and is extremely aggressive, making it necessary for his treatments to be equally aggressive. He will begin chemo and radiation together, require a feeding tube, constant sugar monitoring and eventually surgery. He will be very near incapacitated through this very long fight for his life. Eric and his family are already facing a terrifying journey, I can't imagine their struggle, or the fear they must feel of losing everything they have while they go through it.
I created this page to implore those of you who can to please help this family in their time of need. Eric and his spouse of 25 years are well known for being a pillar for those who need them. When you speak the name Eric Bragg among those who do know him, the mention will always be met with smiles, warm sentiments and admiration. Eric is possibly the only truly kind and selfless person I have ever met. He has never been afraid of sacrifice and has extended help beyond his means to many during their own difficult times. He has been a true friend and a confidant to many, he has never turned anyone away and has asked nothing in return. They have experienced more than their share of loss and still remained a beacon to others. Now the time has come for Eric and his family to lean on those of us who have leaned on them before, as well as anyone who is willing or able to pitch in to help them get through this very difficult time. Even if all you can do is share this link, anything helps.
Proceeds will go directly to Eric and his family.
