Help Eric pay back French Healthcare

Hi, I'm a friend and colleague of Eric, and he needs our help. Eric serves as a missionary in France. He scrapes by on minimal financial support and has no buffer for extra expenses. If you know Eric well, you know he is a kind man with a big heart who loves Jesus and has committed to loving and serving others. He is currently providing maintenance at a Christian retreat centre.

Eric is required by law to sign up for French national healthcare and retirement coverage, which he did. It is typical of French administration to be slow in processing new admissions, and Eric didn't hear anything for several years. This month, Eric received news that he was admitted into the system, but French healthcare officials asked him for four years of back pay corresponding to the time passed since signing up. The total bill comes to 27,440 euros. It is to be paid in full to the French healthcare system at the end of September. Unfortunately, we learned that he can not appeal this decision and must pay in full.
