Help Eric Rebuild After Palisades Wildfire Loss at 93
Donation protected
My name is Ryan Abourisk, and I am Eric’s grandson. I live in Los Angeles near by and have been spending as much time as possible to support him during this tragic time. On the heels of his 93rd birthday, my grandfather’s life was turned upside down by the Pacific Palisades wildfires. The home he bought in 1963 with his late wife, Rose—who passed away in 2022—was completely destroyed. All that he built with her, every memory, every cherished item, has been reduced to ashes.
In the chaos of the evacuation, Eric was given just a few hours to leave his home, with only a small suitcase of clothes—no photos, no important documents, no personal keepsakes. The memories they created together have been lost, and he is now left trying to rebuild not just his life, but his sense of home.
Eric has always been strong, but at 93 years old, this tragedy has been incredibly hard to bear. He never imagined that a simple evacuation would turn into a total loss. His need for support is urgent as he tries to figure out the next steps, and we are reaching out to you, his community, for help.
We are grateful for any contribution, no matter the size. Your generosity will help Eric get back on his feet and start rebuilding his life after this unimaginable loss. We will use the funds to find a new place for him to stay, purchase new clothes, food, cover food and medical bills among many other things while he figures out what his plan is moving forward. He is strong as an ox and has plenty of life left to live and this will help to reduce as much stress on him as possible to try and ensure he can make it physically and mentally through this trying time.
Thank you for your love, support, and kindness during this difficult time.
