Help Volunteer Firefighter Eric Wilson Rebuild After Losing Everything
On the afternoon of July 16th, 2024, a devastating fire broke out in Spring Valley, a small community southeast of Gardnerville, Nevada. This area was nearly destroyed a few years ago during the Tamarack fire. Due to strong winds and dry conditions, the fire spread rapidly, engulfing the first home in its path. The residents had no warning and narrowly escaped with their lives. Tragically, they lost everything except the clothes on their backs, their dog, and their pick-up truck.
Thanks to the swift response of the East Fork Fire Protection District, the fire was contained within 6 hours, and full containment was achieved in less than 30 hours. The quick action limited residential losses to a single home.
That home belonged to Eric and Christine Wilson. Eric is a dedicated volunteer firefighter with the Topaz Volunteer Fire Department, Station 5. While the Wilsons have insurance, it won't cover all of their losses. We ask you to find it in your heart to support Eric and Christine with a donation to help them rebuild their lives after this tragic fire.
This GoFundMe campaign is organized by the East Fork Volunteer Fire Fighter Association to help one of our own in this time of need. Thank you for your generosity and support.
