Help Erica and Lola Grow Their Family

Donation protected
Hi, My name is Erica and I am raising funds for a second round of IVF treatments to grow my family as a single mom by choice. My first round of IVF resulted in my my miracle baby, Lola. Due to PCOS, I suffer from infertility. I tried for 4 years to become a mom before I was rewarded with Lola. As you know, fertility treatments are very expensive and most insurance plans do not cover the costs. When I started my journey to motherhood, I exhausted all my savings before even trying IVF. Luckily, with the support of a fellow single mom in my local chapter of Single Moms by Choice, I was referred to fertility clinic in Atlanta that catered to women and families without insurance. This clinic offers much lower costs than other clinics. Still, in order to start my first IVF journey I had to take out a medical loan. Can you imagine taking out a loan to start your family?! Well, for those of us diagnosed with infertility this is common and a harsh reality.
During my first round of IVF, 20 eggs were retrieved, 8 fertilized but only 1 made it the blastocyst stage. Broken and depressed, I started down the avenue to adopt through the foster system because I felt I was not strong enough to survive a miscarriage. Fortunate for me, especially since adoption was not going well either, my clinic did not allow me to give up. I transferred my one embryo and today I am so blessed to be Lola's mom.
I have the chance to provide Lola with a sibling and so I financially planned to undergo a second round of IVF. I was so proud of myself because this meant I could do it this time without taking out another medical loan. Even more encouraging is that my new doctor believes I would be a great candidate for mini IVF. This means less drugs, less side effects, less abnormal embryos and more importantly, lower cost!
I was on my way to growing my family when my car died. Not a big deal you'd think but we are in a pandemic and there is a car shortage among other things. I could not afford a new car but I also could not afford to go without a car. Reluctantly, I had to spend my IVF funds on repairing my car.
This is where you come in, my friends. Lola and I need your help in order to grow our family. So many things about infertility is unfair and heartbreaking but I am hoping that my village will come through for us. Will you help me give Lola a little brother or sister? No amount is too small and every little bit helps us bring home another miracle.
Your donation will allow me to minimize debt and will go towards the total IVF fees and also help pay for meds.
