Hello! My name is Ethan and I am a disabled artist living with my partner, Travis. Travis is a highly skilled graphic designer who also has several chronic health issues. My health has prevented me from working for some time and has recently worsened so that I am having daily, crippling complex migraines. Due to the migraines, painful neck, painful pelvis, and painful hands/arms (body-wide pain) I have not been able to create any artwork in what feels like eons and doing the simplest of care tasks can leave me exhausted. This has obviously been very difficult on Travis as he tries to manage his own chronic health issues on top of working and caring for me when he isn't in severe pain himself.
Travis has several issues with his back and neck that cause him a great deal of daily pain. He also has stomach issues among other health concerns that he has not been able to get properly treated because of the cost. We currently have many expenses that have been very difficult or impossible for him to keep up with and so we have accumulated more debt than is sustainable, and now our car is broken and would cost more than it's worth to fix.
There are many things that we need that would make managing/treating our health conditions much easier that we simply can't afford. For instance: I need disability aids/accessibility tools for day-to-day tasks, we both need pain-management items (such as heating pads, a trigger-point massage cane, etc), Travis needs a specific stomach medication and likely physical therapy, as well as things like better home seating and home-care tools that won't exacerbate our pain.
I know it's a lot to ask for right now. I know that everyone is struggling. Life is hard.. But if you feel that you can safely donate even the smallest amount, we would be extremely grateful.
I don't expect to ever live a pain-free life.. I just want to be creative and help Travis turn our house into a home. I want to have a hand in building our future together.. A future with less anxiety and less pain.
