Help Ericka Avoid Homelessness in Minnesota

Hello, my name is Ericka. I'm a trans woman who just moved in with a friend to support him when his brother broke the lease on his apartment, so I swapped places to ensure no huge fee was placed on my good friend. His brother made a deal that he would pay a quarter of the rent until the lease was up, but told me rent was not due until the end of each month. He lied to my face, twice, and has now left us both hanging because he had my friend foot the bill for his moving equipment like a trailer and furniture, and did not reimburse him for the trip like he claimed he would. Now, in a place I just moved into under the pretense my bills I paid in october would not hinder my ability to move in and save up again for November is going to boot me after having just unpacked unless I raise the rent (1,500) for this month. Please, help me. I'm going to be homeless in Minnesota, a state known for it's harsh winter, within a month unless I can raise this and ideally start a court case against this brother who raised thousands of dollars under the pretense of lies to his friends, and then backed out of everything he owed everyone.
