Help Erik adjust to a life via wheelchair

Hello

My husband, Erik, had a freak accident where he fell down the stairs of our home. After many hours in the ER it was found he had multiple spine fractures, broken ribs, and a broken sternum. Due to the fractures, he has horrific spinal cord damage resulting in the loss of feeling from the chest down... which means he may never walk again.

Little update: Erik is still fighting in ICU. He has now recently contracted CRO which is horrible bacteria that is resistant to antibiotics. He is still on a ventilator which means he is non-verbal until his lungs are strong enough for him to breathe on his own.

11/18/23 Update: Erik is doing great! In just the last few days he has gotten himself off the ventilator, which means he is breathing on his own!!! He is able to speak and eat/drink on his own again! We are so thrilled and on the path to getting him moved to a rehab facility where he can really learn how to live life with a wheelchair!

If you are able, please donate anything you can as our home will be need remodeling, a vehicle compatible with handicap transportation will be needed, and of course insane medical bills.
