Help Erika Belisle beat her Chronic Lyme Disease

Hi my name is Erika Belisle and I got bit by a tiny tick in 2020, around the time everyone was freaking out about Covid-19. I had a migraine that wouldn’t go away with any medication, went into the ER multiple times before they diagnosed me with Lyme Disease. I knew right away I needed to see a specialist and my mom found Dr. Lynn Durand. 

So the CDC finally recognizes Lyme as a Chronic illness, it happened this year in October… it took 14 years to get this changed… According to my doctor, the leading cause of death for people with Lyme disease is Suicide. This breaks my heart because we just aren’t getting the proper care. Dr. Durand also equates the pain of Lyme disease to be worse than AIDS and Cancer. Atleast with cancer there’s more of a chance for alleviation of pain with mortality. Lyme disease can kill you but it’s not as likely… so you suffer for the rest of your life until you die. 

Dr. Durand went into retirement and now is unretired…he charges $350 per hour cash only… EVERY TIME I SEE HIM IT WILL COST ME $350…I will have to see him again in 2 months…this is because of the issues billing insurance companies…He is well known in the NH region for treating people with Lyme Disease. The problem is modern medicine and doctors are not educated on how to correctly treat someone with Lyme disease and then these people fall in between the cracks in the healthcare system. I am one of those people. I got into remission before, let’s get me back into remission so I can live a beautiful life with my children and not be in constant severe pain. My fiancé also got Lyme disease in 2022… it’s relentless, it’s a terrible disease, it makes you feel like you’re dying. I can use all the help I can get… This disease effects your mental health as well as your physical health. It attacks your entire body, a multi-system disease that is worse than cancer according to my Doctor. This year I started getting chronic migraines again, sinus infections, cysts on my ovaries, and issues with my heart as well as clotting in my blood. All things that were caused by one terrible monster inside me: Lyme Disease. The Quiet Epidemic
