Help Erin and Scotty through the loss of their son Micah

Dear community,

My name is Erin and I’ve decided to start this go fund me because we are struggling, and need your help.

On January 29, 2024 we lost our 2 year old son Micah in an absolutely horrific accident. The trauma of this has touched every area of our lives.

A lot of our expenses have gone onto credit cards, and as the interest charges pile up, we are finding it increasingly hard to get ahead and be able to financially meet our needs.

We have put on a brave face, to the point of even hiding from ourselves how we truly feel. Although we have good days and moments, we are starting to realize that we are not okay.

Most people thankfully will never be able to understand from an experiencial point of view what we are going through, and therefore don’t truly know how to support us through this time. It has felt quite isolating and we haven’t been sure how to get the support we need.

With the encouragement of close friends, I have been able to find the courage to ask for this help. It’s not something either me or my husband are used to doing, and feels very vulnerable.

With a fresh new baby in my womb, I am feeling especially pressed to find the financial support we need, so we can take the time to really heal, and be here fully for when we become parents again.

Micah was the light of our lives, a sweet and funny boy who was always full of joy. We miss him so much. The agony can be paralyzing.
