Hi friends and family,
This is Erin here. I’m writing you because I need your help. I was in a bad accident, and and while insurance covers many of my expenses I still don’t have enough money to pay for the things I need — medicine, specialized care, transportation rehabilitation, etc. This is why I am coming to you for help.
I fractured my neck (Cervical Vetebrae 7) and broke a toe. I landed flat on my face, so I lost my front tooth, knocked some other ones loose and suffer from jaw pain. I lost consciousness and had the near death experience (wild!) and now suffer from the after effects of a pretty severe concussion.
The good news: my injuries are NOT life threatening, and my wonderful team of doctors are confident I will make a full recovery if I am able to rest, recuperate & rehabilitate properly.
I am on a two-year path towards full recovery which involves a lot of physical therapy and the long painful process of getting a tooth implant.
The accident happened while I was practicing for my one-woman show which features aspects of gymnastics, dancing, cheerleading, poetry and music.
Dancing and gymnastics are both very risky sports; evidently 8 in 10 dancers get injured in a year. These are sports I have trained my whole life for; I started dance lessons at the age of 5; and gymnastics at the age of 7. Still, accidents happens. Did you know that injuries from “falls” or “accidents” are on the #1 cause of ER visits.
I know that it is challenging time for many, and more than money, I need PRAYERS. Or if you’re in the San Francisco Bay Area, help with transportation or support at home.
Please pray for me to have the patience and strength to recover fully!
