Help Erinn Rebuild After Pacific Palisades Fire

Dear Guilderland Community,

As a music educator for 39 years, there comes a time when your students become your kids. You guide them, encourage, embrace their talents and mentor them along the way. It's what we do to spread the joy of music to the hearts of our community and beyond.

A former student of mine, Erinn Alissa Selkis, GHS class of 2000, an incredible vocalist/guitar player and trumpet player, has lost everything in the devastating fires in Pacific Palisades , CA. She had no time to get her things; musical equipment, her Mom's personal items, from when she passed back in in HS and even her guitar, no car, no clothes etc. I can't imagine the horrifying experience knowing you've lost a lifetime of memories and her ability to share her music. She lived in a small apartment for the past 20 or so years, living in a fixed rent facility, living her simple dream as a musician, singing and gigging up and down the west coast.

I am reaching out to our musical community and friends asking for your help to begin a new life, so she can share her love of music again. Anything would be truly appreciated. If you feel like you just can't donate please please share and thank you!
