Help Eris Save Frosted Flakes' Life

Donation protected
Hello,

My name is Eris Nantz. I am a junior biology major minoring in forensic science, chemistry, and criminology. With my degree I plan on becoming a forensic pathologist, and bringing justice to those in death.

In December of 2024, my cat Frosted Flakes had to be rushed to the emergency room because of horrible symptoms she was facing. After the emergency room released her, we took her to our regular vet and got her tested for FIP. Frosted Flakes tested negative for FIP, and the staff told us to just keep a close eye on her.

She has progressively gotten skinnier, eating less and less everyday. Other than eating less, she acted like her own unique self everyday until the start of this week. On April 28th, 2025 we scheduled a regular vet appointment for her. That’s when she started to have accidents, as well as some of the symptoms she had in December but to a more extreme level. On April 27th, 2025 she seemed extremely lethargic, so we rushed her to the emergency vet because she couldn’t wait any longer for our usual vet office.

At the emergency room, they said that her health had declined dangerously since December. They suspect that she does have FIP, and that her results gave a false negative in December.

This is not the worst of it though. They said because of how much weight she loss, how dehydrated she was, as well as her other symptoms that she is in critical condition, and that treatment would cost thousands of dollars. Despite being in college, I will spend every penny to help save her. But even with this treatment, the doctor said that because of her critical state that she probably will not make it. We are going to fight for her and try to get as much treatment as we can. I cannot imagine a life without her.

I love her more than anything in this world, and I do not know what to do. Any support, whether financial, words of kindness, or even keeping her in your thoughts would mean so much to us. All support will go directly into her treatment such as her emergency visit, her IV treatment, her blood transfusion, and many, many more. Thank you for taking your time to read about our story.
