Help Erum and Her Son Rebuild Their Lives

Erum is a strong and resilient woman who has faced unimaginable challenges in her life. She is a survivor of severe emotional, physical and psychological domestic abuse.

Her story:

She got married at a young age and became a mother while enduring a cycle of physical and emotional abuse. Experiencing abuse right after giving birth to her child led her to disclose it to her family. It took immense courage and the support of her parents to finally break free from her first husband's grip.

A few years later, she met her second husband, and her journey brought her to America, where she hoped for a fresh start for herself and her son. However, her second marriage turned into another nightmare, worse than the first marriage, marked by years of emotional, psychological, and physical abuse. Erum found herself in the hospital multiple times with broken bones, and food was withheld from her and her son at times. The threats of being arrested and losing her son, coupled with her unfamiliarity with American law, kept her trapped for far too long, enduring horrific ongoing psychological, physical, and emotional abuse.

In the early months of 2023, Erum managed to escape this harrowing situation due to the aid of others, determined to protect her son and secure a better future. However, the road to recovery has not been easy. Due to her recent immigration, she does not qualify for government aid, leaving her struggling to make ends meet.

Today, Erum is facing an urgent financial crisis and she needs your help. There are times when she doesn't have enough food to eat, and her car, her lifeline to work and stability, has broken down beyond repair. She does not have the money to buy the basic medicine such as Tylenol when she has a fever. She's unable to commute to her job, and her son's future hangs in the balance.
