HELP ESTABLISH A MASJID WITH US - Kendal

Assalamualaikum brothers and sisters. As of August 2024, we have reached £160,000. May Allah bless all of those who have reached into their hearts to support the establishment of the first masjid in the Lake District.

Join us in our noble cause to build a haven of faith in the heart of Kendal, nestled within the beauty of the Lake District. Our small community gathers for Jumma prayers in a local community hall, yearning for a permanent home where we can strengthen our bond with Allah (SWT) and nurture the spiritual growth of our families.

In the backdrop of Kendal, we envision a mosque, depicted in the photograph before you, inviting believers to commune in prayer. This sacred space will not only fulfil our daily prayer obligations but will also serve as a beacon of knowledge and enlightenment through the establishment of a Madrassah. Here, our children and adults alike will delve into the teachings of Islam, continuing a deep understanding and love for our faith.

However, our vision extends beyond the confines of our community. With no local Madrassah provision and the nearest one requiring a lengthy journey (40-45 minutes to Lancaster), we seek to bridge this gap by offering education and spiritual guidance to all who seek it.

We will act the space for visitors and tourists to attend, finding solace and direction in our mosque, not just for prayer but also as an information hub, guiding them to halal eateries and points of interest in the area.

Yet, for this dream to become a reality, we need your support. Every donation, no matter how small, brings us closer to our goal of £360,000 to purchase the building. As of March 2024, we have raised £80,000, but we cannot achieve this alone.
