Establish the 1st Hospital in Bani Na'im-Palestine

Bani Na'im is a city in Palestine located in the Westbank with an estimated population of 35,000. In the entire town, there is only one health clinic and one ambulance run by the Red Crescent. In case of any emergency treatments, residents of Bani Na'im travel to Hebron or doctors from the city volunteer their time to see emergency patients in their homes. Hebron is 7km away from the town; however, since the end of 2015, the Israeli Occupation forces have blocked some or all of the main entrances to Bani Na'im. The checkpoints, roadblocks, and the iron gate surrounding the city have caused delays in treatment leading to health complications and the death of residents. These checkpoints place restrictions on residents' movements, making it difficult to access health services in other localities. In addition to the adverse effects of Israeli closures, Bani Na'im health services suffer from a lack of needed and necessary medical equipment, medicine, clinics, and well-trained medical staff. There is a dire need to establish a hospital within the city to serve Bani Na'im residents and the surrounding cities that lack adequate medical facilities. There is no government or authority providing aid to Bani Na'im.

As of now, there has been land donated for this cause and a hospital facility built. The land was donated by a local older woman whose granddaughter delivered her baby in a car while delayed at an Israeli checkpoint enroute to the nearest hospital in Hebron. Generous donors from the town itself contributed the funds needed to build the hospital. There is a team of 6 local medical doctors from within the city ready to volunteer their time to run the hospital, and patients will be charged on a sliding scale so that no one is denied treatment.

This Gofundme was started because it is time for us to come together and support the admirable efforts of Bani Na'im. The hospital cannot operate without necessary machines and facility equipment, including X-ray machines, EKG machines, Ultrasound machines, hospital beds, and more. All funds collected from this fundraiser will aid in the establishment of the first hospital in Ban Na’im and will be transferred directly to the committee leading this project in Bani Na’im.
