Help Esther Recover & Beat Cancer

I'd like to take a brief moment to introduce to you a truly amazing and selfless woman.  My mother, Esther, is the kindest soul I know.  She will go to great lengths to care for or help anyone, even those she does not know.  She is the most loving mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, cousin and daughter; she is the true definition of unconditional love.  ♥  To know my mother is to love her...

It has now been a little over the longest three weeks of our lives.  This was when we learned of my mother's diagnosis; non-small cell adenocarcinoma of the lung, otherwise known as lung cancer.  She has battled a great amount of pain for years now, and has been to many doctors to try and determine the root of her pain, to no avail; It is not yet known if the pain she is experiencing is a cause of the cancer.  She has been unable to work for some time now, and she has consequently struggled to make ends meet. 

Tuesday, November 29th, my mom will be undergoing surgery.  We are so fortunate that it appears the cancer was caught in time and can be removed, although a portion of her left lung must be removed as well.  She will continue to be unable to work for at least a couple of months. 

Our goal is for my mom to fully recover and beat this son of a bitch they call cancer and to not have to worry about all of her bills piling up on her during this time.  I have set a goal of $5,000 to help her cover her expenses (mortgage, car payment, groceries, etc.) during her recovery.  All funds raised will go directly to my mom's bank account so that she can continue to pay her living expenses. 

It would mean so much to me for my mom to be worry and stress-free during this difficult time, especially during this holiday season.  All we want for Christmas is a happy, healthy mom.
