Help Ethan Recover from a Tragic Attack

Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,

We are reaching out to you with heavy hearts and a plea for help and prayers. Our beloved Ethan Garcia, a bright and kind-hearted 16-year-old, was tragically attacked in Granbury on 11/3/2024. This senseless act of violence was unprovoked, and there are no leads on whom would initiate such an attack, but the Granbury PD are investigating. The attack has left him with severe injuries, and their family is now facing overwhelming medical bills.

Ethan has been part of Generations Church of Granbury since he was a small child and is active in Youth and part of the Worship team. He is always kind to everyone he encounters and truly possesses a servant's heart. He has always been a source of joy and inspiration to everyone who knows him. His resilience and positive spirit are truly remarkable, but the road to recovery will be long and challenging.

The medical expenses for emergency oral surgery, hospital bills, and subsequent treatments are far beyond what anyone can manage alone. Ethan saw the dentist today and thank you Jesus his jaw is not broken and is expected to heal nicely. However he will need an anticipated 10k worth of orthodontic work and likely 20k worth of tooth implants over the next 2 years. We stand firm that GOD is Jehovah Jireh our provider and that all Ethan’s medical needs will be met.

The Granbury Police department did an outstanding job finding and arresting the guy that assaulted Ethan. His story is different, but he has admitted to punching Ethan in the face. The detective said he had a bruise on his knuckle. He is 17, and will be charged as an adult. He is not from Granbury, or in GISD, so that is good news also.
