Etown Students Deserve Their Columbia University Trip!
At the March 11th school board meeting, our board voted to cancel a fully planned and fully funded field trip to Columbia University—without warning, without asking parents for input, and without a valid reason. Instead of supporting an incredible educational opportunity, they made excuses and took this experience away from our kids.
We had already raised the money for this trip, but because those funds were held by the school, we aren’t allowed to use them. The school is now refunding all donors, which means we have to start fundraising from scratch—and we have less than a week to do it.
We need to raise $4,000 to ensure our students still get this opportunity.
We refuse to let the school board take this away from our children. If you believe in educational opportunities, fairness, and standing up for students when leadership fails them, please donate and share. Every dollar helps us get closer to proving that our community stands with our kids—not against them.
Thank you for supporting Etown students! Let’s show them that when the school board fails, we step up!
