Help Eva Rebuild After Eaton Fire Loss
Donation protected
Hi and thanks for being here! This is a fundraiser for Eva, an angel friend of mine who has just lost her home in the Eaton Fire here in California. Eva has had a hell of a time this year even before the fire and could really use some financial and community support to rebuild her life, including finding a place to live and replacing her belongings that were lost to the fire, like clothes, books, and household supplies. She will also take donations of these types of items if you're in the area!
Eva is one of my favorite people in the world. She is a talented, dedicated speech therapist, who makes a beautiful impact on the students she works with every day. She's a steadfast friend who always makes her loved ones feel heard and seen. Anyone who has met Eva knows how special she is, and even if you're on this page and haven't met her, I hope you feel a sense of her heart here. I'm Rae, by the way, one of Eva's friends here in LA. Go Fund Me asks that I provide some details to make it clear that this isn't a fraud fundraiser so you can find those extras at the bottom :)
Money can't replace memories, mementos, and the sense of safety that comes with home, but I hope this fundraiser can ease this time and provide a bit of cushion for Eva. All funds will be sent directly to her as she rebuilds this part of her life.
Thank you!
Details for GFM:
1. Who you are - I'm Rae, a close friend of Eva's - I live in Los Angeles too, but have been lucky (so far) to avoid the worst of the fires.
2. Where you're from - I'm originally from the Atlanta area, but I've lived in LA for six years now. It's my home.
3. Your relationship to the parties you're raising funds for - I am a friend of Eva's and she and I have become especially close over the past year. It's been one of my greatest gifts to grow close to her.
4. How the funds will be spent - Funds will be spent as Eva needs them, for rent and a deposit for a new home; clothes, books, kitchen supplies, and other everyday belongings that were lost in the fire, and any other needs that come up related to the emergency like transportation costs.
Thanks again for your generosity!
