Help Eva Regain Mobility with Firefly Wheelchair Attachment

Hello! My name is Eva, and almost 9 months ago, I became sick with my 4th COVID infection that left me physically disabled.

I am fundraising for a Firefly Wheelchair Attachment so I can gain back my mobility! Firefly Electric Cycle

After months of countless doctors and tests, my condition is still somewhat a mystery, and it's unfortunately a degenerative mystery, meaning that my body is getting worse and worse as time passes.

I had been successfully using a standard manual wheelchair full time for 6 months, and during this time, I was physically capable of operating my wheelchair alone. However, last month, I started losing function of my upper arms, and wheeling myself has became debilitatingly painful. Unfortunately, I have to rely on the help of others to push my chair when I am traveling anywhere outside of my house.

I started my application for a custom manual wheelchair that will be paid through my insurance many months ago, but if I were to add on the mobility aid I am fundraising for, my wheelchair would take many many more months to get to me. Getting a proper wheelchair that actually fits me is a very long process, and a very necessary thing, and If I try to change my order, the entire process would have to be restarted.

Unfortunately, I don't have the means to be independent with my current mobility aids, and I do not have the funds or time to obtain a powered mobility aid on on my own. I am asking for the exact amount it would be to purchase a Firefly Wheelchair attachment.

Losing my mobility and so much of my life at 24 has been ridiculously hard and strange, and with my current ability level, I am completely losing my independence. I have not yet qualified for disability benefits, and this is unfortunately my only choice right now to gain back my life. The people that I have met through social media and the community I've fostered have improved my life greatly, and are who led me to feeling brave enough to publicly ask for help.
