Help evacuate a family from War Torn Sudan
Donation protected
Hello everyone,
I am now appealing for help to get my family out of the crossfire. My great uncle Khidir Mahmoud, his daughter, two sons and a third son and his wife and their two kids. They were displaced from their home and moved to a different neighborhood in Omdurman at the start of the war back in 2023 but something more tragic befell them when my great aunt in law, stricken with grief over their lost home, passed away after a two week hospital stay. There was no ‘formal’ funeral held for her, no one can or had visited to say their condolences in person.
My great uncle and the family residing in Omdurman have witnessed several projectiles falling on homes and on their own street. I’ve talked with my aunt and her cousins (great uncle’s daughter and son) over this and they have all agreed that now is the time for them to leave.
They want to relocate to Egypt. The funds will cover the cost of bus travel, food and accommodation until they reach Egypt. I will update the goal once I get a clearer picture of what the costs will be to bide them for a month at least in Egypt.
I don’t have the words to describe my gratitude and sense of immense pride over everyone’s contribution and help to Musa and his family. You have extended help and most importantly shown that those in need in Sudan are not forgotten to those outside of the country and its peripheries.
