Help Evacuate and Heal Elborniya Family
Donation protected
I would like to give you guys an update about my niece .
She was safely able to leave Rafah to Egypt where her parents are, thanks to your generous donations. She had a C-section and gave birth to a beautiful little girl. We are so sorry for the late update. We have all been so busy trying to figure their whole living situation for her and her now family of six. Her husband does not have an Egyptian visa or citizenship which is now what we are trying to work on now, but it is very costly & difficult. My niece has been to so many places asking for help on how to get her husband residency or any type of visa allowing him to work. The cost for her husband’s visa so he can work is about $45,000 so they still needs help funding for that so he can work as soon as possible because they are a larger family and require more expenses now. She said she wanted to let every single person that she and her husband and all of us are very thankful for all the donations and kind words of encouragement to her and her family during her difficult pregnancy. Her husband has been struggling to find a place of employment because of his residency status and not having authority to work and they have also been looking for a place for them to permanently live, but it has been very difficult on all of them because they are now a family of six and they are solely depending on your kind donations to survive day to day. The donations are helping provide food shelter and clothing for them. They still have a long road ahead of them to rebuild their life from the ground up since they lost all that they had in the war. So we would all like to thank you for the help of getting her and her husband and children to safety and having a safe birth. Thank you all again your help is very appreciated and we are just waiting to have enough money for her husband to get work authority through a visa so he can start providing for his family again.
I am communicating with you at a time marked by extreme urgency and despair. I seek your assistance before it's too late to save innocent lives from imminent danger. We urgently need to raise funds as our home, shops, and everything we own were destroyed for the emergency evacuation of my family, consisting of 5 members from Gaza. This includes my niece Haya and her 3 daughters Layann, Rahef, and Raghed, the youngest being under three years old, along with her husband. They are currently in a dire situation, living alone in the country without their father, mother, or siblings.
We are reaching out for help through this GoFundMe page intending to raise $100,000. The funds will be used to cover transportation, temporary accommodation, and other essential expenses associated with ensuring their safety during this challenging period.
Since October 7th, my family has experienced three evacuation operations, facing constant danger as they have to flee from the areas targeted by bombings. Unfortunately, their neighborhood in the north has been destroyed, and they struggle even to bake bread due to a shortage of animal feed. Pregnant women cannot provide food for themselves or their unborn children. Our family's business has disappeared, and they have been forced to flee their homes, currently residing in temporary tents on the streets without proper sanitation, medical supplies, food, water, or basic necessities.
They face unimaginable challenges, especially since my niece is scheduled to undergo a cesarean section at the end of February. However, she has not received any medical consultations to assess the well-being of her unborn child. Every day is a ticking time bomb for her, lacking any means to give birth safely through a cesarean section. They seek your urgent support to facilitate their safe evacuation.
The funds raised will be allocated as follows:
- Application Fees: Covering any necessary administrative costs.
- Immediate Transportation and Support: Ensuring a swift and safe means of travel.
- Permits and Crossing Fees: Required for leaving Gaza at the Egyptian-Gaza border in Rafah.
- Birth Expenses: Covering medical costs associated with the planned cesarean section.
- Housing and Food Requirements: Providing for temporary accommodation and essential sustenance.
- Stay in Cairo: Covering a 3 to 5-week stay while waiting for immigration paperwork.
- Airfare for 5 Individuals: Facilitating travel from Cairo to the United States.
- Settlement Expenses for the First Two Months: Covering rent, furniture, winter necessities, healthcare, and general living costs.
- GoFundMe Transaction Fees: Including the standard platform fees for processing donations (2.9% + $0.30 per donation).
Your contribution, whether large or small, will make a significant difference in ensuring the safety of our loved ones. We appreciate your compassion and generosity during this challenging time. We aim to initiate the evacuation process as soon as possible, anticipating completion before the scheduled cesarean section in the remaining vulnerable hospitals.
Please share this with friends and colleagues, and let's bring my family to safety together. Thank you for standing by us.
