Help Evacuate Ashour Family from Gaza

I am Manhal Ashour and I am in Gaza with my family - my wife Nisreen and daughters Dana 16, Rama 14 and Tala 12.

The situation in Gaza is catastrophic beyond the words. No one can imagine or have words to describe how life became in Gaza. We are running around for safety not knowing where is actually any safer. Now we are living, or surviving, in the most terrible condition. Imagine you live in a city where there is no power, no source of water, you have only some canned foods to eat and nothing more, no facilities, nothing left in Gaza.

All this is so hard and difficult for all my family but especially hard for Nisreen, who is dealing with cancer and is now with no medical care or treatment at all and no condition to take care of her needs.

We had to leave our house in a hurry and when I came back to get some clothes and other things for my family I found out there was nothing left. Our beloved home is completely destroyed and gone forever. We have led a decent life; I worked for an NGO, had a beloved home we created over the years, and our daughters doing well in the school. Now all of this is gone and the daily beautiful moments in our house become only memories from the past.

I hope someday I can rebuild my house and go back to our lives there.

But for now, we need to leave Gaza so that Nisreen can get treatment and we can have some kind of normal life, that is to eat and sleep without fear for our lives. Please help us get out of Gaza.

Your donation will be used to pay for the costs of crossing the borders, coordination fees and transportation, and to provide essential cash assistance to cover living expenses in Egypt for a couple of months as well as treatment for Nisreen. If we do not manage to raise the amount we need to escape Gaza, the donation will be used to cover the cost of ever raising cost of living to survive in Gaza. But we really, really hope we can get out of here for Nisreen and all of us.
