Help Evacuate my pregnant sister from Gaza
Donation protected
Hello everyone, my name is Rosa El-Farra, a Palestinian-Canadian woman from Gaza living in Ontario Canada.
Today, I reach out to you with a heart heavy with concern and filled with hope. For a long time, I’ve been separated from my sister, who resides far from me in the midst of an escalating conflict in Rafah. Each day, the distance between us feels not just in miles but in the growing fear that I might lose her forever.
She’s eight months pregnant, vulnerable, and in desperate need of a safe haven. The thought of her being in danger, especially at this critical time, is unbearable. I’m creating this GoFundMe campaign not just as a plea for financial support but as a bridge to reconnect with my sister, to ensure her safety, and to bring her to a place where I can hold her and her family in my arms, free from fear. Your support could change the course of my sister’s life and grant us the chance to be reunited. It’s a race against time, and every contribution brings us closer to a future where I can once again embrace the most important person in my world. Please, help me bring my sister and her family to safety.
The Situation
The dire situation in Rafah, exacerbated by the ongoing conflict, has left them displaced, with the constant threat of violence overshadowing their existence. The fear has become a relentless intruder, making their children sick, and jeopardizing the health and well-being of my sister and her unborn child. The urgency to evacuate to safety has never been more critical, yet they stand helpless, with no financial means to escape the danger.

My Sister's Home
The Need
To secure their safe passage and ensure they have a refuge where they can rebuild their lives, we are reaching out for your support. The cost to evacuate is steep - $5,000 USD per person, totaling $25,000 USD for the entire family. Additionally, they will need at least $10,000 USD more to cover the basic necessities of food, shelter, and medical care upon their arrival in Egypt, where they seek temporary asylum.
Our Appeal
We are setting a goal of $35,000 USD (1 CAD = 0.74 USD) to turn the tide of despair into hope for my sister and her family. Your contribution will provide them with the means to escape the perils of war, secure a safe environment for the birth of her child, and offer her children a chance at a future free from the trauma of conflict.
Conclusion
Thank you for your kindness, your generosity, and your willingness to help a family in dire need. Your support means the world to us and to them.
