Help Evacuate my Pregnant Wife and Parents in Gaza

My name is Abdalsalaam Halawa, and I'm reaching out to you with a heavy heart, seeking your help for my family who's going through a dire situation in Gaza. Just a month and a half after my wedding, war erupted in Gaza and plunged our lives into turmoil. After over 150 days, we endured the horrors of war and were displaced from Gaza City to the south of Gaza.
I only recently managed to leave Gaza with the help of my employer, but my family is still in very vulnerable conditions. While I've been able to continue working and provide some financial assistance to my family, the situation back home grows increasingly dire by the day. My wife's due date is fast approaching and the lack of medical services in Gaza poses a grave risk to her health, our need for assistance has never been more urgent.
This campaign will be divided into two stages:
Stage One: Evacuation of My Parents and Wife: The first stage aims to evacuate my parents, Nafez and Maha, as well as my wife, Hanaa, to safety.
Stage Two: Evacuation of the Rest of the Family: The second stage will focus on evacuating the remaining members of my family from Gaza.
Meet My Family: Allow me to introduce you to my family, each member facing their own struggles amidst the devastation of war:
My father, Nafez (56), once owned a small business selling engine oils but lost everything in the first days of the war.
My mother, Maha (54), is a physiotherapist.
My wife, Hanaa (24), is a bright young student studying computer engineering, but her dreams are threatened by the violence that surrounds us. Additionally, she is pregnant, and her life is in danger due to the current situation. Compounding her challenges, she has tragically lost her father during this war.
My sister, Safaa (35), a dentist, lost her clinic not once, but twice during the wars ( 2021 & 2023 ), leaving her and her family in dire straits. Her five-year-old son, Jood, deserves a future free from fear and uncertainty.
My sister, Noor (31), a medical laboratory technician, and her husband, Mahmoud (33), a graphic designer, faced partial destruction of their apartment during the war, adding to the challenges they already faced in raising three young children amidst the chaos. Their children include Majd, aged 5, Aya, aged 4, and Maha, who was born just a week before the war began.
My sister, Ahlam (28), a talented interior designer, lost her job on the very first day of the war, adding to the burden our family bears.
My brother, Mohammad (26), studied accounting and worked as a secretary at Safaa's dental clinic. Like Ahlam, he lost his job when the conflict began, leaving him without means of supporting himself or our family.
As if our struggles weren't enough, my family was forced to evacuate from our residence, now they reside in a tent in the south of Gaza, enduring cramped living conditions. With a total of nine adults and four children, each day becomes a battle for survival.
Call to Action: I'm reaching out to you in desperation, knowing that I cannot overcome these challenges alone. The cost of travel for each adult is $5000, and for each child, $2500, in addition to the expenses of obtaining passports. Your support could mean the difference between despair and hope for my family, offering us a chance at a new life free from the horrors of war.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story and considering supporting our cause. Your generosity could be the lifeline we so desperately need, and we will forever be grateful for your kindness and compassion.
